ON THE ROAD IN INDIA!

ON THE ROAD IN INDIA!   Posted on March 6, 2010 by websandthreads

Though I am in the midst of returning to writing about my art at last, to a more in-depth look at “The Threads Project”, I also would like to continue sharing some of the photos taken on the amazing trip to India last November.

So just another peek at what made this trip so incredible. One of my favorite things is just getting around, by various modes of transportation. In spite of the vast numbers of people and vehicles, people do manage to get from Point A to Point B, packages and goods delivered, and it seems, with a kind of efficiency that I finally began to understand.

Horn-blowing is essential, though this becomes deafening at times. This is a great method to let other drivers know you are near them as lanes are changed, for example. Somehow it all works, for the most part. All drivers of all vehicles of course, must make way for the cows who seem incredibly relaxed amidst the din of engines, fumes, and horns.
